The Terminal Number is a four-digit field that must be in numeric format and cannot contain all zeros. This number is assigned by the member to uniquely identify the Terminal Number from the member system. Sierra validates the Terminal Number in conjunction with the hierarchical order of BIN, Agent, Chain, Merchant, and Store Number within the Visa system.
