This two-character field contains the merchant state as provided by the bank or processor. The Merchant State/Province Code provided appears on the cardholder's statement. This field entry must be left justified, space-filled and may contain only uppercase letters.
Note: This field must contain the same data in the authorization as it does in the data capture batch.
