RB 600 - Acquirer BIN either not numeric or not in BIN table

BIN is a six-digit field that must be numeric and cannot contain all zeros. The BIN identifies the member within the Visa system. The system validates the BIN in the BIN table, along with the hierarchical order of agent, chain, merchant, and store numbers defined in the BIN key in the BIN profile.

Solutions

Incorrect BIN in the download file.
  1. Correct the BIN and retain the batch.
  2. Perform a partial download and re-transmit the batch.

The terminal data for this field may be corrupt.

Verify the BIN in the terminal.

  • If valid, retain the batch and re-transmit.
  • If invalid, correct the BIN in the terminal and re-transmit.
