RB 611 - Non-numeric terminal number

Terminal Number is a four-digit field that must be numeric and cannot contain all zeros. This number is assigned by the member to uniquely identify the terminal number from the member system. The system identifies the terminal number in conjunction with the hierarchical order of acquirer, BIN, agent, chain, merchant, and store number within the Visa system.

Incorrect terminal number in the download file.

  1. Correct the terminal number and retain the batch.
  2. Perform a partial download and re-transmit the batch.

The terminal data for this field may be corrupt.

Verify the terminal number in the terminal.

  • If valid, retain the batch and re-transmit.
  • If invalid, correct the terminal number in the terminal and re-transmit.
