RB 907 - Cardholder account number not numeric or not within range for acceptable card type

Cardholder Account Number is a 19-character, alphanumeric field. This field is left-justified and space-filled.

If the card range is Novus/Discover, the Accept Novus/Discover switch must be turned on.
If the card type is AMEX, the Accept AMEX switch must be turned on.

This error occurs if the number is not 15 digits in length for AMEX, or if position 15 for check digit is incorrect. The system validates the cardholder account number on the card profile, based upon low and high account range and card type.

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid cardholder account number.

Delete the transaction that caused the RB.
Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline corrected transactions, and re-transmit.
