RB C13 - Authorization number must be alphanumeric

Authorization Number is a six-character, alphanumeric field that is generated upon authorization of online transactions. This field is also manually entered in the terminal for offline transactions. This field is presented as left-justified and should not begin with zero or space. The system validates the data element type and length of this field.

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid Authorization Number.
  1. Delete the transaction that caused the RB.
  2. Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline corrected transactions, and re-transmit.
