RB C17 - Invalid AVS code

AVS Code is a one-character, alphanumeric field. The AVS code is an address verification code used to verify cardholder identification for mail-order transactions.

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid AVS code.

  1. Delete (void) the transaction that caused the RB.
  2. Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete (void) feature is not available, delete the batch, offline the corrected transactions, and re-transmit.

The system validates that the AVS code corresponds with the codes noted in the following table:
