RB E17 - Invalid GMT offset

GMT Offset is a three-digit field containing the GMT offset used for authorization functions. The GMT offset provides the difference of the local time zone as compared to the GMT. The first-digit position represents the time difference and the offset increment from the GMT. The second and third-digit positions represent the magnitude of the time difference.

The system validates that the GMT corresponds with the format noted in the following table.

Solutions

Incorrect GMT offset in the download file.

  1. Correct the GMT offset and retain the batch.
  2. Perform a partial download and re-transmit the batch.

The terminal data for this field may be corrupt.

Verify the GMT offset in the terminal.

  • If valid, retain the batch and re-transmit.
  • If invalid, correct the GMT Offset in the terminal and re-transmit.
