Querying Authorization Data

To query authorization data:

  1. Click Inquiry on the menu bar to display the drop-down list.
  2. Select Authorization, as shown in the following figure:

    The Authorization Inquiry page displays:

    ac_query1

  3. In the fields provided, select the BIN and type the Agent ID, Chain ID, or Merchant ID on which to query. At a minimum, the BIN and Merchant ID are required to query authorization data.

Note: If you drilled down through your Daily Summary or changed your view to a particular agent, chain, or merchant, some or all of the hierarchy will already be populated in the BIN, Agent ID, Chain ID, and Merchant ID fields.

  4. To narrow the query results, continue entering information in the fields. Data entry in these fields is not required.
  5. In the Start Date and End Date fields, type a date (mm/dd/yyyy) or select a date from the Calendar Control .

You can also type a number in the Day(s) field to query a particular number of days prior to the end date. For example, if the current date displays as the end date, typing 3 would query authorization reporting for the prior three days. You can query up to seven days of authorization data in a single query.

  6. Click the Refreshicon.

Query results display in the bottom portion of the page, as shown in the following figure:

    ac_auth_inq_1

  7. Click the links provided to access the authorization detail related to your query results.
