Authorization Log

Select this link to run the Chain Authorization Summary report.

Note: This report does not include the activity for the current day.

The report page is divided into two sections, showing Authorization Summary and Merchant Summary information:

Follow these steps to view more detailed information:

1. To view an authorization report for a specific merchant:
   • Select a merchant ID in the Merchant ID column.

     -or-

   • Enter the merchant ID in the Merchant field, and then select Refresh.
2. To view the authorization information for a transaction, select the account number link in the Consumer Account Number column.

   The Authorization Log Detail page opens.

3. If required, filter the report based on specific values in any of these fields:

   If a report has a Show Filter Options link, it means you can filter the report based on specific field values.

   To filter a report:

   1. Select Show Filter Options.

      

      The page refreshes to show the filter options fields and buttons; for example:

      

   2. Enter information in any of the filter options fields to report on those specific criteria.
   3. Select Submit.

      The report refreshes to show the filtered results.

   4. Select Reset to return to the original, unfiltered list.

      Tip: To hide the filter options, select Hide Filter Options.

   • Store

     A four-digit number that identifies a merchant location. Store is the fifth level of the front-end hierarchy. They contain Terminals and roll up into Merchants. If a merchant has only one location, the Store number should be 0001.

   • Consumer Account Number

     The consumer account number for the transaction. This can be a credit card number for a card transaction or a DDA number for an ACH transaction.

   • Auth Number

     The authorization code for the transaction.

   • Term

     The terminal number.

   • Date
   • Amount

     The dollar value associated with a transaction or set of transactions.

   For example, enter the 4-digit Store number to view transactions for that store only.

4. Select Back to Authorization Log Summary to return to the Authorization Log Summary page.
5. Select Back to Chain Authorization Summary to return to the Chain Authorization Summary page.
