On the EMV Fallback Report, this column lists the number of Device Fallback occurrences for each date/BIN/merchant listed.
A Device Fallback, also known as a Technical Fallback, indicates an EMV enabled terminal was unable to read the data on the chip card. This could be because the chip on the card was damaged or was incorrectly personalized by the issuer.
