Volume Summary by Interchange Qualification

A volume summary by interchange qualification query can provide a summary of qualification information at various levels for specific time frames.

To run a volume summary by interchange qualification query:

1. Click the Research Query navigation button.

   

   The Research Query page opens.

   

2. Select the Volume Summary by Interchange Qualification option.

   The page refreshes to list the appropriate fields.

3. Enter your query criteria.
   1. Select the Bank Number from the drop-down list.
   2. From the Report By drop-down list, select the entity you want to report by: Bank, Vendor, Industry, Association, or Merchant.

      The page refreshes to list the appropriate fields.

   3. Enter your remaining query criteria in the fields:

      Note: Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory.

      • Vendor: Select the vendor from the drop-down list. This is a required field if Vendor is selected in the Report By field.
      • Industry: Select the industry from the drop-down list. This is a required field if Industry is selected in the Report By field.
      • Association Number: Type the 6-digit association number or click Search to perform an association lookup. This is a required field if Association is selected in the Report By field.
      • Merchant: Type the 15-digit merchant ID number or click Search to perform a merchant lookup. This is a required field if Merchant is selected in the Report By field.
      • For Time Period: From the drop-down list, select Daily, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly.
      • Time Period: If you selected Daily in the For Time Period field, click the Calendar icon, and then from the pop-up calendar, select the appropriate date.

        -or-

        If you selected Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly in the For Time Period field, select the month, quarter, or year.

      • Card Type: From the drop-down list, select the card type to be included in the report.
      • Payment Card Type: Select All Rates, Consumer Card Rates, Consumer - Debit Card Rates, or Commercial Card Rates from the drop-down list to be included in the report.
      • Submitted By: For each submitted interchange qualification level you want included in the report, select it from the list and then click the Add button so it appears in the selection box underneath the selection buttons, or click Add All to add all the submitted interchange qualification levels to the selection box.

        To remove submitted interchange qualification levels from the selection box, use the Remove or Remove All button as required.

4. Click Generate Report.

   The Volume Summary by Interchange Qualification report page opens.

   The Volume Summary by Interchange Qualification report page opens listing information in these sections:

   • Association, Bank, Industry, Merchant, or Vendor Totals: bank number, card type, number of transactions, activity for date, payment card type, and amount of transactions. Depending on your Report By selection, this section may also include association, industry code, industry name, merchant ID, merchant DBA name, vendor code, and vendor name.
   • Submitted Interchange Totals Listing: submitted interchange, number of merchants (except Report By Merchant), number of transactions, and amount of transactions.

     Note: You can sort the report by any column in the Submitted Interchange Totals Listing section by clicking the column heading.

5. Click an entry in the Submitted Interchange column to open the merchant listing page.

   The merchant listing page displays the following read-only information in two sections:

   • Association, Bank, Industry, Merchant, or Vendor Total: bank number, card type, number of transactions, activity for date, payment card type, submitted interchange, and amount of transactions. Depending on your Report By selection, the total section may also include association, industry code, industry name, merchant ID, merchant DBA name, vendor code, and vendor name.
   • Merchant Listing for Selected Interchange: merchant ID, merchant DBA name, industry name, number of transactions, and amount of transactions. From this section, you can view the transaction listing for a merchant. For more information, refer to Viewing Transaction Listing for selected interchange.

     Note:You can sort the report by any column in the Merchant Listing for Selected Interchange section by clicking the column heading.

6. In the Merchant Listing for Selected Interchange section, click an entry in the Merchant ID column to open the transaction listing page.

   The transaction listing page displays the following read-only information in two sections:

   • Association, Bank, Industry, Merchant, or Vendor Total: bank number, card type, number of transactions, activity for date, payment card type, submitted interchange, and amount of transactions. Depending on your Report By selection, the total section may also include association, industry code, industry name, merchant ID, merchant DBA name, vendor code, and vendor name.
   • Transaction Listing for Selected Interchange: transaction ID, transaction code, transaction date, transaction amount, cardholder account number, and outgoing date.

     Note: You can sort the report by any column in the Transaction Listing for Selected Interchange section by clicking the column heading.

7. In the Transaction Listing for Selected Interchange section, click an entry in the Transaction ID column to open the transaction details page.

   The transaction details page lists information in these sections:

   • Transaction Summary: transaction date, transaction ID, downgrade reason code, cardholder number, transaction amount, submitted as, downgrade to, and card expiration date.
   • Transaction Listing: AU1, AU2, ACI, authorization date, authorized amount, total authorized, authorization response, RPS, TID/BNR, ID method, reference number, qual, validation code, MOTO, incoming transaction code, merchant DBA name, merchant DBA city, merchant DBA state, merchant DBA zip, merchant DBA country, MCC, and term entry.
   • Association Downgrades / Vital Downgrades: code, reason, and number / PV code, RPS bump code, and reason.

     Note: You can sort the report by PV Code, RPS Bump Code, and Reason in the Vital Downgrades section by clicking the appropriate column heading.

8. Click Report Summary to open the report summary page where you can view the Authorization, Capture, and Clearing & Settlement summaries.
9. Click View P and V Report to open the P and V report page.
10. On any query report page, change the criteria as required.
    1. On any query report page, click Search or Re-search.

       

       The query search page opens with fields populated with the last criteria entered.

    2. Enter your new criteria, and then click Generate Report.

       The query report page opens listing information based on the new criteria you entered.

11. On any query report page, export the data to Excel or PDF as required.

    On any report page, click Printer Friendly.

    Adobe Reader opens with a PDF version of the report in view.

    

    Use the Adobe Reader functionality to navigate, print, and save the PDF version of the report.

    You can export query report data into a spreadsheet format using Microsoft® Excel.

    To do this, on any query report page, click Excel.
