Relationship Profitability ERG Fee Item Detail Report

This report enables you to search for Fee Items within all Relationship Profitability Expense Rate Groups (ERGs), using search criteria and conditions on various fields and settings within the Fee Items. The report lists the Fee Items matching your criteria, as well as even more fields from the Fee Item than those listed in the Relationship Profitability ERG Fee Item Summary Report.

To run this report:

1. Select Reports, and then under Relationship Profitability Reports, select Rel Prof ERG Fee Item Detail.

   

   The Relationship Profitability ERG Fee Item Detail Report page opens.

   

2. Enter your report criteria.

   Criteria Notes

   • Where a list icon or lookup icon is provided, click it to open a box where you can search for and select the criterion you want to search or report on.
   • In the Group ID and Association ID fields, you can specify a range of values by using a dash (-) between the low and high end values, and search on multiple values by using a comma (,) between each value.
   • These special characters cannot be used: : ` ^ = " < > [ ] |
   • Do not enter spaces before or after text entires.

   • Bank ID
   • Agent ID
   • Fee Item Name
   • Fee Category

     These fee categories are available for selection:

     • Authorization Other

       Fees associated with the authorization of a transaction not captured under the Authorization Transaction category.

     • Authorization Transactions

       Fees associated with the authorization of a transaction.

     • Card Brand Fees

       Acquirer type fees established by the major card brands, such as MC, NABU, VS TIF, and DS Data Usage.

     • Data Capture Other

       Other capture related fees. For example, Level 3.

     • Data Capture Transactions

       Fees associated with closing out terminal, sending batches, or settling online transactions (not funded).

     • Debit Network

       Fees for the network association or issuing bank. The surcharge for calling into the network for processing, PIN based debit only (online debit).

     • Discount

       Base discount fee based on sales activity or card type.

     • EBT

       Fees associated with Electronic Benefits Transfer.

     • Exceptions

       Fees for exception-type of activity, such as chargebacks, adjustments, and retrievals.

     • Interchange

       Fees as defined by major card brands.

     • Individual Plan

       Fees based on card type and/or transaction type, such as sales, cash and credit (returns).

     • MISC Fixed Fees

       Miscellaneous fixed fees, typically for non-transactional time-frame related services, such as training, residency, profile builds, and terminal downloads.

     • MISC Per Item Fees

       Miscellaneous per item fees, typically for front-end products and services, such as call center help, training, residency, profile builds, and terminal downloads.

   • Apply 100% Expense Rate Method

     In your report criteria, select the type of fee item expense rate method to report on:

     • Interchange

       When this option is selected for a fee item, 100% of the Interchange fee amount is applied as expense to the agent.

       This option is only available for fee items with a Fee Category of Interchange or Debit Network.

       Fees for the network association or issuing bank. The surcharge for calling into the network for processing, PIN based debit only (online debit).

       Fees as defined by major card brands.

     • Card Brand Fees

       When this option is selected for a fee item, 100% of the card brand fee amount is applied as expense to the agent.

       This option is only available for fee items with a Fee Category of Card Brand Fees.

       Acquirer type fees established by the major card brands, such as MC, NABU, VS TIF, and DS Data Usage.

   • Cost Plus

     The percentage added to the card brand fee amount (if Apply 100% Card Brand Fee is selected for the fee item) or to the interchange fee amount (if Apply 100% Interchange is selected for the fee item) as an expense to the agent.

   • From / To Buy Rate (%)

     The percentage of the dollar volume from the activity associated with the fee item to be applied as expense to the agent.

   • From / To Buy Rate Per Item ($)

     The per item expense rate for the agent. If this is a positive value, the amount is charged to the agent. If this is a negative value, the amount is paid to the agent.

   • GL Item Code
   • User Data Code
   • Count N/G/B

     Indicates how per item rate fees are calculated for activity associated with the fee item. The available options are:

     • Net: Sales minus credits.
     • Gross: Sales only.
     • Both: Sales plus credits.

     Note: This field is only available for fee items with a Fee Category of Discount or Interchange.

     Fees as defined by major card brands.

     Base discount fee based on sales activity or card type.

   • Amount N/G/B

     Indicates how percentage rate fees are calculated for activity associated with the fee item. The available options are:

     • Net: Sales minus credits.
     • Gross: Sales only.
     • Both: Sales plus credits.

     Note: This field is only available for fee items with a Fee Category of Discount or Interchange.

     Fees as defined by major card brands.

     Base discount fee based on sales activity or card type.

   • From Start Date
   • To Start Date
   • From Stop Date
   • To Stop Date
   • RP ERG Type

     The Relationship Profitability Expense Rate Group (RP ERG) type. The available options are:

     • Partner Rate Group: When selected, the page refreshes to include these report criteria fields:
       • Share Based on Merchant Net Income: Select this check box to report on fee items with the Share Based on Merchant Net Income option selected.

         When this option is selected for a fee item, the system will apply the Agent Share % value against the net income collected from the merchants.

       • Residual Payment % of Sales: Enter the From and To values to report on fee items within a range of Residual Payment % of Sales values.

         The percentage of the dollar volume from activity associated with the fee item to be applied as a residual payment to the agent.

       • Residual Payment $ Per Tran: Enter the From and To values to report on fee items within a range of Residual Payment $ Per Tran values.

         The per transaction rate from the activity associated with the fee item to be applied as a residual payment to the agent.

       • Agent Share %: Enter the From and To values to report on fee items within a range of Agent Share % values.

         The percentage of the eligible net income allocated to the agent. Eligible net income is the income from merchant fees minus the expense specified for the agent.

     • ISO Rate Group
   • Agent Flat Fee/Payment

     When this option is selected for a fee item, it indicates that the Buy Rate Per Item ($) expense amount for the fee item is charged (if it is a positive value) or paid (if it is a negative value) to the agent.

     This option is only available for fee items with a Fee Category of MISC Fixed Fees.

     Miscellaneous fixed fees, typically for non-transactional time-frame related services, such as training, residency, profile builds, and terminal downloads.

   • Share Based on Merchant Net Income

     When this option is selected for a fee item, the system will apply the Agent Share % value against the net income collected from the merchants.

   • Residual Payment % of Sales (From / To)

     The percentage of the dollar volume from activity associated with the fee item to be applied as a residual payment to the agent.

   • Residual Payment $ Per Tran (From / To)

     The per transaction rate from the activity associated with the fee item to be applied as a residual payment to the agent.

   • Agent Share % (From / To)

     The percentage of the eligible net income allocated to the agent. Eligible net income is the income from merchant fees minus the expense specified for the agent.

3. Select the Offline Export Format you require, and enter the Offline Report Name (or accept the default) to help you identify the report later in the Offline Repository.
4. Select the Include Criteria On Report check box if required.
5. Select Generate.

   The Offline Repository page opens.

   Report results and search results can be generated while you continue to work. These results will be located in the Offline Repository. Once the report is finished running, the Report Name will become a link which the user can select in order to access the report output and an email notification is sent to the user.

   • Each user will have their own Offline Repository.
   • Users may generate up to 40 offline reports per day.
   • The offline reports will be assigned one of the following statuses:
     • Pending: The user has launched the report and it is waiting to run.
     • In Progress: The system is currently running the report.
     • Available: The system has finished running the report and it is available to view.
     • Deleted: The user has deleted the report.
   • The Expires By column is the date the report expires, after which the report is no longer accessible by the user.
     • Reports are set to expire after 4 calendar days.
     • Reports are available up through end of day on the Expiration Date.

   To access the Offline Repository,

   1. Select Offline Repository.

      

      The screen displays a list of available reports.

   2. Select a Report Name to open or save that report.

      Select the delete icon for a report you want to delete.

      -or-

      Select Refresh to update the status of the offline report listing.

   

6. Once your report has run and its Status appears as Available (select Refresh as required), select its Report Name to open or save it.
