PPM Key Structure File

The PPM Key Structure File provides a comprehensive list of values that are currently available in PPM. The file enables you to:

• Identify which values are available by Fee Category at the various key levels, and how they relate to values at other key levels.
• Retrieve new values when new types of fees or activity are introduced in PPM, for example, during a compliance release or to support a new product and its associated billing items.
• Interpret fee structure values provided in the PPM Profitability and Residual File.
• Identify values that are needed for PPM XML.

To run the report:

1. Select Reports, and then under Pricing Reports, select PPM Key Structure File.

   

   The PM Key Structure File page opens.

   

   Note: The Offline Export Format defaults to CSV (Comma Separated Values).

2. Enter the Offline Report Name (or accept the default) to help you identify the report later in the Offline Repository.
3. Select Generate.

   The Offline Repository page opens.

   Report results and search results can be generated while you continue to work. These results will be located in the Offline Repository. Once the report is finished running, the Report Name will become a link which the user can select in order to access the report output and an email notification is sent to the user.

   • Each user will have their own Offline Repository.
   • Users may generate up to 40 offline reports per day.
   • The offline reports will be assigned one of the following statuses:
     • Pending: The user has launched the report and it is waiting to run.
     • In Progress: The system is currently running the report.
     • Available: The system has finished running the report and it is available to view.
     • Deleted: The user has deleted the report.
   • The Expires By column is the date the report expires, after which the report is no longer accessible by the user.
     • Reports are set to expire after 4 calendar days.
     • Reports are available up through end of day on the Expiration Date.

   To access the Offline Repository,

   1. Select Offline Repository.

      

      The screen displays a list of available reports.

   2. Select a Report Name to open or save that report.

      -or-

      Select the delete icon for a report you want to delete.

      -or-

      Select Refresh to update the status of the offline report listing.

   

4. Once your report has run and its Status appears as Available (select Refresh as required), select its Report Name to open or save it:

   

   • Opening the PPM Key Structure File in Excel

     The PPM Key Structure File is in Comma Separated Values (CSV) format. If you open this file directly using Microsoft Excel (which may be your default application for opening CSV files), the application by default applies the General format to all the values in the file, reformatting any values beginning with zeros by removing those leading zeros. For example, a value of 00101 in the CSV file will appear as 101 in the Excel spreadsheet layout.

     To avoid this:

     1. Save the PPM Key Structure File in CSV format to your computer.
     2. Use Excel to import the file, selecting these options:
        • DATA: From Text
        • Original Data Type: Delimited
        • Delimiters: Comma
        • Column data format: Text (applied to all data columns)

        Refer to Microsoft's Help for your particular version of Excel.

   • Key levels where ALL is available for selection
