Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Fee Rules

The Electronic Benefits Transfer category is used for fees that deliver public assistance benefits. Like Debit Network fees, these also may be based on either authorization or capture transactions. The EBT category has a Category Type of 7.

Example: A capture fee for benefits transfer may be set up as an EBT fee item. The merchant may be charged $0.18 per capture transaction on an ongoing basis.
