The fields in this panel enable you to set up the authentication security feature.

Note: Each of these fields should contain at least one numeric character and one alphabetic character. Alphabetic characters must be upper case. No characters can repeat consecutively. Do not use spaces in these fields.

• Authentication Code
• Confirm Authentication Code
• Create Test Authentication Code (optional)

  Note: This optional, masked field is used to create a temporary authentication code for testing or deploying a terminal. Review the feature details if used.

  The Test Authentication Code has unique functionality:

  • Once added to the TSYS Express/MMS file, it is active for twelve hours only.
  • It should not be the same as the authentication code. When the codes are the same, only the test authentication code is activated.
  • It is deactivated at the Sierra authorization and capture host when it is removed from TSYS Express/MMS.
