Field notes: F

F1 - F4: Footer lines one through four. The text entered in these fields print at the bottom of the receipt.

Fax: The merchant's fax number (xxx-xxx-xxxx format). On the Merchant Sales Rep Details page, the Fax number of the sales representative.

FCS ID: Food and Consumer ID number. This number is issue to the merchant by the state government and indicates that the merchant is certified and approved to accept food stamps.

Federal Tax ID: The nine-digit federal tax identification number for a merchant or authorized signer.

FICO Score: A numeric score that evaluates merchant credit worthiness. The score is provided by Fair Isaac & Co. (FICO).

File Record Count: Indicates the number of records in the extraction file for the entity.

Field Name: An error line denoting which field caused the maintenance to reject and the accompanying error message. On the Global Audit page, it is the literal name for an audited field.

Financials: Indicates that financial statements have been requested or have been received before credit can be approved.

Find Journal Transaction: The terminal will require a password when this function is selected from the terminal.

Fire Safety Indicator: When selected, this check box enables the fire safety indicator.

First Name: The first name of a principal associated with the merchant. The first principal is usually the business owner, and is required for an entry. On the Merchant Sales Rep Details page, the first name of the sales representative.

Fixed Fee:  The rate that is used as the income and expense for the billing item. The client adds this amount when calculating the expense that is incurred for servicing the account. For some billing items, only a fixed rate or a percentage rate can be used to calculate income and expense. For other items, both a percentage rate and a per-item rate are applicable.

Flag 1/2: Client-defined codes that are used to flag an account. This field is used if the merchant's DDA is a savings or general ledger account.

Flat Fee?: Indicates whether the service establishment (merchant) has requested a flat fee for processing.

Floor Limit: Enables the terminal to generate its own approval codes on specified cards under the pre-configured amount entered in this field. The maximum value for this field is 9999, which is equivalent to $99.99 (a decimal is implied between 3rd and 4th digits).

FNS Number: The number assigned to merchants that accept EBT food stamps as a payment type.

Folio/Room Prompt Text: The text that will display when Folio/Guest Check Processing is enabled.

Footer Line 1/2/3/4: A customized message to be printed on lines one, two, three, and four of the transaction receipt footer.

Force Dial: When selected, this check box enables dial out without hearing a dial tone.

Force Settle: When this check box is selected, the terminal forces the merchant to settle a batch manually if a communication error occurs during auto close.

Format: Indicates the merchants industry.

Forms Vendor: Indicates whether the user has General Credit Forms (GCF) as a forms vendor.

Forward Commit: Indicates that a forward commit letter has been requested or has been received before credit can be approved.

Franchise CAP Number: The approved Franchise CAP number that the merchant is affiliated to, if the merchant is dually affiliated.

Franchise Code: The franchise code for the Discover account.

Franchise Listing: When selected, this check box indicates that the sales channel has verified that the merchant is not on the American Express Franchise Exclusion List.

Fraud: Only select this check box if you are using an existing Merchant Exception Table (MET) and you want the merchant account to be tracked and reported for potential fraud.

Fraud Control: Indicates the type of fraud control in use.

Fraud Control Keys: The entry in this field indicates the type of fraud control that is enabled for a terminal when a card is swiped. The possible entries are explained as follows:

Free Text: A text field that allows you to enter a descriptive message about a billing item.

Frequency: The frequency with which a merchant is billed for a charge. The default value is All. Other values include Some, Annual (fee is charged once a year), One-Time (fee is charged once).

Frequency in Months: The frequency (in months) with which a billing item is applied.

From: If selected, the corresponding store record will adopt the descriptor information of the store that has the To check box selected.

From Exception Date: Allows you to select the first exception date in the date range to include in the Merchant Purge Exception Report.

From Purge Date: Allows you to select the first purge date in the date range to include in the Merchant Pre-purge Report and the Merchant Purge Report.

Front-End Entity: Allows you to select a front-end entity to search on.

Front-End Merchant: The name of the front-end merchant that you want to search for.

Front-end Only Card Type: Determines whether the corresponding card type is front-end only. This option is for full-service clients whose bank allows them to determine if a card type can be configured as front-end only for a full-service merchant. This option does not appear for front-end only merchants. If selected, this option disables the PCID, Settlement, and Descriptor fields and the Card Plan Details button.

Front End Processor: These fields identify the front-end processors for the merchant. Entry is only required if the merchant only processes back-end transactions on the TSYS platform. For each appropriate processor, select the Accept Processor check box and enter its relevant Processor MID.

Front-End Rebate %: The percentage of on-us cash advance that is rebated to the user or association. This percentage displays with three decimal places.

F/S Due Date: The date that the financial statement is due from the merchant (mm/dd/yyyy format). The application will generate a Financial Statement Due Card at the end of the month prior to the date that the financial statement is due. If a financial statement is not received by the due date, this merchant will be listed on the Past Due Financial Statement Report. The merchant will continue to appear on this report until these dates are updated.

F/S Received Date: The date that the financial statement was received from the merchant (mm/dd/yyyy format). If you leave the default value in this field and enter a date in the F/S Due Date field, the merchant will be listed on the Past Due Financial Statement Report until these two fields are updated.

Full/Disk Or Package Type: Indicates POS-partner kit shipment. This is not currently supported by TSYS Acquiring Solutions.

Future Effective DRT: The Discount Rate Table number that is scheduled to go into effect at a later date.
