Field notes: H

HC POS ID: If the terminal is participating in Host Capture, this is the 15-digit system generated unique ID used for authentication.

Header Line 4/5/6: A customized message to be printed on lines four, five, and six of the transaction receipt header.

Hierarchy: Indicates if the AMEX account is a headquarter (CAP) set up or a Single Setup (SE).

High Limit: A 12-digit number representing the upper value of the account range.

High Risk Consent: When selected, this check box indicates that the sales channel has completed all high risk merchant verification requirements. If the merchant falls into one of the High Risk Merchant Categories, the sales channel must follow all high risk verification requirements.

High Ticket: The highest single ticket dollar amount the merchant is expected to accept.

High Volume: Flag to indicate the merchant has exceeded $500,000 in AMEX sales and is reported on the Discount Review Report.

Hold Statement: Indicates the manner in which statements are delivered to the merchant. Acceptable values for this field are Y - merchant statements are sent to the user in the daily package, F - international merchant statements mailed directly to the merchant, or N - merchant statements are sent directly to the merchant.

Home Address: Indicates the guarantor's home address. On the Discover Setup page, the home address of the authorized Discover account signer.

Home Based: The home-based business indicator.

Home City: Indicates the guarantors home city.

Home Phone: Indicates the guarantors home phone number.

Home Postal Code: Indicates the guarantors postal code.

Home State: Indicates the guarantors home state.

Host: Provides the terminal the location of the phone numbers that should be used when dialing out for an authorization request.

Host Connection Type: Identifies the type of connection.  Acceptable values for this field include: Single host, Multiple host, or Interleaved host.

Host Connection Type: The option selected from the drop-down list indicates the type of host connection. The available options are:

Host Message Protocol: The protocol that is used to communicate authorization information.

Host Payment Service: Designates the name assigned to this host.

Host Multi-Threading: Not currently in use.

Host Response Time-Out: The time (in seconds) that the terminal will hold the phone line waiting for the initialization host to respond.

Host Type: Identifies the host in use (Visa, AMEX, or ATM, for example).

Hosts Selected for Setup: A list of hosts selected for configuration on the terminal.

House Account Cash Key: Enables the House Account/Cash key on the terminal.

House/Cash Key Password: Allows the merchant to use the terminal as a reporting device for tracking cash transactions. The merchant must generate this report prior to transmitting, since this record is deleted at settlement. The terminal will require a password whenever this key is selected from the terminal.
