About front-end only clients and merchants

Front-end only clients and merchants use Global Payments for authorization and capture services only. These clients and merchants include the following:

Front-end only clients

These clients use Express to enter terminal information only without setting up merchants on the Global Payments Merchant Accounting System (MAS). These clients rely on Global Payments for authorization services only or capture services only or both, and use an alternative solution for clearing and settlement.

Full-service clients who have front-end only merchants

These clients use Express to set up and maintain both merchant accounting and terminal information, but also have merchants who use Global Payments for authorization and capture services only.

Full-service merchants who accept front-end only card types

These merchants have card types that only use Global Payments for authorization and capture services. These card types are not cleared and settled through Global Payments.
