About merchant billing element tables

Merchant Level Billing Element Tables (BETs) are used to generate income and to calculate the expense incurred from servicing a merchant account. BETs are comprised of seven unique billing categories, some of which offer additional selection criteria.

Note: Merchant BETs apply to full-service merchants only. The information in this topic does not apply to front-end only merchants.

Merchant level BETs have at most one BET number assigned for each unique combination of keys. This BET number will always be 9999. The unique keys are comprised of the following attributes:

Once the keys have been selected, you can set up the billing items. Billing items are used to calculate income and expense in one of the following ways:

Note: To limit the number of BETs to manage, you may consider pointing the merchant to an existing Bank level BET.
