Host capture stage only build

Follow this process to sign up your terminal using TSYS Class B certified software:

  1. Search for the merchant to display its details on the Merchant Summary page.
  2. From the Terminal menu, click New Terminal Setup.

    The Terminal Setup Page opens.

  3. Enter the appropriate hierarchical data including V Number and Attachment Code.

    Note: These may be auto-filled for you.

  4. In the Service Levels drop-down list, select TAO - Host Capture Stage Only.
  5. Verify that the Manufacturer, Model, and Software fields have the value HC Stage.

    Note: You may see an error message at the top of your page. Disregard the error.

  6. Select Accept Card Type check boxes as needed.

    Note: The Host Capture Participant check box is selected. If the box is not selected, you may have chosen the incorrect service level.

    The Host Capture Information panel appears.

  7. Click Next to access the Terminal Details Page.
  8. Enter your authentication code in the Authentication Code field, and confirm the code by entering the same code in the Confirm Authentication Code field. The HC POS ID will automatically populate.

    Note: The Authentication Code field should contain at least one numeric character and one alphabetic character. Alphabetic characters must be upper case. No characters can repeat consecutively. Do not use spaces in the Authentication Code field.

  9. Select the Create Test Authentication Code option if you want to create your own test authentication code. If you do not want to create a test authentication code, proceed to the next step instead of selecting this option.
    1. When you select the Create Test Authentication Code option, a warning message will ask, "Are you sure you would like to create a Test Authentication Code"? Click the OK button to continue.

      New fields will appear.

    2. In the Test Authentication Code field, enter the desired code.
    3. Enter the identical code in the Confirm Test Authentication Code field.
  10. Click the Next button.
  11. Set the values below to the appropriate options. If you do not know what your Class B Application uses for these fields, it is advised that you set it to the default values indicated below.
  12. Select the correct EBT Debit settings.
  13. Verify the Device Code.
  14. Select the available card ranges.
  15. Click the Add button.
  16. Click on the first selected Card Range.
  17. Click Setup New Card Range.
  18. Select Payment Service.
  19. Verify Voice ID.
  20. Select your Host.
  21. Verify your Voice Authorization Phone.
  22. Click the Continue button.
  23. Continue adding card ranges until all the needed card ranges are added.
  24. Click the Next button.
  25. Under Available Host select the host needed.
  26. Click the Add button.
  27. Under Selected Host select the first host and then click Set Up Host.
  28. Click Continue for each host created.
  29. Click the Next button.
  30. Click the Validate button.
  31. Click the Board button.

Note: When maintaining a host capture terminal, you have the additional option to edit the Term Capture Expiration field date. You may change the date from that day's date to one day prior to the previously committed date saved in the database. This may only be done if the previous date has not yet expired or will not expire that day.
