RB 001 - Blocking factor not equal to actual blocking factor

Blocking Factor is a four-digit field indicating how many records are grouped together in a single block. The system validates that the number of records blocked matches the blocking factor in the header. This error occurs when those numbers do not match.

For this rejected batch, review the following table for possible cause and solution:

Corrupted batch

  1. Delete the batch.
  2. Offline two transactions into the terminal.
  3. Transmit to ensure the error does not persist.
  4. If the transmit is successful, offline the rest of the transactions into the terminal and transmit the batch.
  5. If the transmit is not successful, re-program the terminal.

Re-program the terminal.
