RB 015 - Invalid AMEX card number

AMEX Card Number is a 15-digit field that is left-justified and space-filled. The system checks the data type and length of this field. Position 15 of the AMEX card number is checked for check digit. The system validates the AMEX card number on the card profile, based upon low and high account range and card type.

For this rejected batch, review the following table for possible cause and solution:

Incorrect American Express card number was entered.
  1. Delete (void) the transaction.
  2. Offline the corrected transaction into the terminal and re-transmit.

 

Note: If the software does not support the Delete or Void feature, delete the batch, offline all transactions correctly, and then re-transmit.
