RB 615 - Terminal serial number is not numeric or is zeros

Terminal Serial Number is an eight-digit field that identifies the terminal in the terminal support system. The terminal serial number must be numeric and cannot contain all zeros. The system validates the data element type of this field.

Possible Causes

Solutions

Incorrect terminal serial number in the download file.
  1. Correct the terminal serial number and retain the batch.
  2. Perform a partial download and re-transmit the batch.

The terminal data for this field may be corrupt.

Verify the terminal serial number in the terminal.

  1. If valid, retain the batch and re-transmit.
  2. If invalid, correct the terminal serial number in the terminal and re-transmit.
