RB 617 - Non-numeric agent bank

Agent Bank Number is a six-digit field that must be numeric and can contain all zeros. The member uses this field to identify the agent within the member system. The system validates the agent bank in the BIN table, along with the hierarchical order of BIN, chain, merchant, and store numbers defined in the BIN key in the BIN profile.

Possible Causes

Incorrect agent bank number in the download file.

  1. Correct the agent bank number and retain the batch.
  2. Perform a partial download and re-transmit the batch.

The terminal data for this field may be corrupt.

Verify the agent bank number in the terminal.

  • If valid, retain the batch and re-transmit.
  • If invalid, correct the agent bank number in the terminal and re-transmit.
