RB 745 - Cardholder identification method not valid, must be @, A, or N

Cardholder Identification Code is a one-character, alphanumeric field indicating the method used to identify the cardholder. The system validates the cardholder identification code with the following ID codes:

@ = signature
A = PIN
N = Address Data Verification

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid cardholder ID.

Delete the transaction that caused the RB.
Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline corrected transactions, and re-transmit.
