Terminal Number is a four-digit field that must be in numeric format and cannot contain all zeros. This number is assigned by the member to uniquely identify the terminal number from the member system. The system identifies the terminal number in conjunction with the hierarchical order of acquirer BIN, agent, chain, merchant, and store number in the VISA system.
