RB C06 - Transaction date not in format MMDD or is invalid

Batch Transaction Date is a four-digit field. The date format is MMDD and must be numeric. The system validates that the transaction date field corresponds with the following format:

MM = month must be two digits, 01-12.
DD = day must be two digits, 01-31.
Leap year = a valid calendar day 0229 for MMDD is acceptable.

Possible Causes

Solutions

Incorrect transaction date in the download file.

Correct the transaction date and retain the batch.
Perform a partial download and re-transmit the batch.

The terminal data for this field may be corrupt.

Verify the transaction date in the terminal.

If valid, retain the batch and re-transmit.
If invalid, correct the transaction date in the terminal and re-transmit.
