RB C08 - Cardholder account information source must be H, D, X, T, or @

Cardholder Account Information Source is a one-character, alphanumeric field indicating the source of cardholder account information for the transaction. This field is also generated by the terminal.

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid account source code.
  1. Delete the transaction that caused the RB.
  2. Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline the corrected transactions, and re-transmit.

The system validates that the cardholder account information source (source indicating whether card data was read electronically or entered manually) corresponds with the codes noted in the following table.
