RB D12 - Authorization source code incorrect

Authorization Source Code is a one-digit, alphanumeric field that is returned in the authorization response message. Terminals generate an authorization code when an approval code is obtained by a voice referral or when the approval code is generated offline.

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid Requested Authorization Characteristics Indicator (ACI).

  1. Delete the transaction that caused the RB.
  2. Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline the corrected transactions, and re-transmit.
