RB D15 - Invalid approval code

Approval Code is a six-character, alphanumeric field returned in the authorization response record. The system validates that the field corresponds to the following:

For offline voice authorizations and referrals, the terminal user must enter the approval code received from the authorization center.
For a credit card or T&E card purchase return, the field must be space-filled.
For magnetic stripe reading terminals that operate in an offline mode, the field must contain a SVCnnn value, where nnn is the three-digit service code encoded on the magnetic stripe following the expiration date.

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid Approval Code.

Delete the transaction that caused the RB.
Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline corrected transactions, and re-transmit.
