RB D14 - Invalid response code

Response Code is a two-character, alphanumeric field indicating the code returned by the authorization system for transaction authorization requests.

Spaces = voice referrals and other offline transactions
00 or 85 = approval
10 = partial approval
All other response codes represent non-approved requests

The system validates the data element type of this field.

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid response code.

Delete the transaction that caused the RB.
Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline corrected transactions, and re-transmit.
