RB D42 - Purchase order number/customer code non-numeric or invalid

Purchase Order Number/Customer Code is a 16-character, numeric field, supplied by the VISA Purchasing Card cardholder to the participating merchant.

This field is optional for the VISA purchasing card and must be set to spaces for AMEX card transactions.
The Purchase Order Number/Customer Code field is numeric, left-justified and space-filled
If this field is not used, it must be entirely space-filled.
The system validates the data element type of this field.

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid purchase order number/customer code.

Delete the transaction that caused the RB.
Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

f the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline corrected transactions, and re-transmit.
