RB D41 - Optional amount non-numeric or incorrect

Optional Amount field is a 12-digit field containing the optional amount identified in the Optional Amount Identifier field. This amount is included in the settlement amount.

If the Optional Amount Identifier field is set to 0, this field must be zero-filled.
This field is optional for the VISA Purchasing Card.
On an AMEX card, a merchant may optionally capture sales tax information in an amount less than or equal to $9999.99.
The system validates the data element type of this field.

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid optional amount.

Delete the transaction that caused the RB.
Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

f the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline corrected transactions, and re-transmit.
