RB D55 - Terminal number override invalid or non-numeric

Terminal Number Override is a four-digit field that must contain the correct terminal number that transmitted the original authorization request.

Note: This field is required in all environments that have more than one terminal at a single location settling in the same batch.

This function overrides the terminal number in the header record. The system validates the data element type of this field.

Possible Cause

Solution

Incorrect terminal number override in the download file.

  1. Correct the terminal number override and retain the batch.
  2. Perform a partial download and re-transmit the batch.

The terminal data for this field may be corrupt.

Verify the terminal number override in the terminal.

  • If valid, retain the batch and re-transmit.
  • If invalid, correct the terminal number override in the terminal and re-transmit.
