RB T 505 - Trailer device code not alphanumeric or space

Device Code is a two-character, alphanumeric field designed for future system use. Other values to indicate which device type generated batch transactions are provided in the future. The system defaults this field to ASCII zeros for device types F, H, J, and G until the field is used.

Possible Causes

Solutions

Incorrect trailer device code in the download file.
  1. Correct the trailer device code and retain the batch.
  2. Perform a partial download and re-transmit the batch.

The terminal data for this field may be corrupt.

Verify the trailer device code in the terminal.

  • If valid, retain the batch and re-transmit.
  • If invalid, correct the trailer device code in the terminal and re-transmit.
