Merchant Pricing Profile

If the merchant in context is set up in the TSYS Portfolio Pricing ManagerSM (PPM) application, select this link to open the Merchant Pricing Profile screen in the PPM application.

Minimum discount rates and fees determine what the merchant will be paying to process credit card transactions. Generally, the discount is calculated as a percentage and sometimes includes a per item fee. However, there are many variations to a merchant pricing configuration. These fees can be deducted daily or monthly from the merchant’s account. The Merchant Pricing Profile is the location where all fee details are stored for a PPM merchant file. It is used to set up and maintain pricing.

The screen is divided into three sections:

• Merchant Information: The Merchant Information section allows you to view general demographic information, boarding status, and hierarchy IDs. Additionally, you can select the Expense Rate Group (ERG) for the merchant to point to.
• Minimum Discount: The Minimum Discount section allows you to enter or update the merchant’s minimum discount information.
• Pricing Summary: The Pricing Summary section is made up of Merchant level fees and fees defaulted from a hierarchy level. The fee information provided in the summary includes: fee categories, fee item names, start and stop dates, and high-level rate information.
