Worked Chargeback Activity

This report lists completed chargebacks generated by all merchants for the specified Bank number. The report includes a dollar Total Amount for the chargeback transactions listed so you can see the financial impact of chargeback transactions within the date range.

Select the Bank and a Start Date and End Date, and then select the refresh icon .

The report provides information on each chargeback in these columns:

• Days Out

  The number of days the chargeback is out, typically calculated as the difference between the date posted to the merchant and the Incoming Date.

• Association

  A six-digit number identifying the association connected to the merchant. Associations are used to provide additional structure and detail for back-end reporting.

• Merchant ID
• Merchant Name
• Reference Number
• Incoming Date
• Consumer Account Number

  The consumer account number for the transaction. This can be a credit card number for a card transaction or a DDA number for an ACH transaction.

• Reason Code

  The chargeback reason code provided by the card association.

  For Visa chargebacks, the entry in this column will reflect the appropriate Visa Claims Category Code.

  This table lists each entry that can appear in a Reason Code or Reason Description report column for a Visa chargeback, together with its corresponding Visa Claims Category Code and MAS value:

  Note: For each MAS Value, the underscore (_) represents a space.

  The code for the action taken on the chargeback. Possible values:

  • MCHB: Merchant chargeback (charged back to the merchant).
  • LOSS: Transaction taken as a loss.
  • REMC: Represent chargeback back to the Issuer. This indicates credit to the merchant for the previous merchant chargeback.
  • REPR: Represents the chargeback back to the Issuer.
  • MCLS: Credit to the merchant for the previous chargeback and the transaction taken as a loss.

  The case number for the chargeback or chargeback reversal transaction.
