Tax Amount

• For Visa transactions, the amount of state or provincial tax included in the transaction amount.
• For MasterCard transactions, the amount of sales tax or value-added tax for the total purchase amount.

Tax Amount Included ID

For Visa transactions, the Local Tax Included Indicator. Possible values:

• 0: No tax included
• 1: State or provincial tax included
• 2: Non-taxable transaction

For MasterCard transactions, the Sales Tax Collected Indicator. Possible values:

• Y: Sales tax included
• N: Non-taxable transaction
• Blank or 0: information unknown

Terminal Capability (POS Terminal Capabilities)

This code identifies the capability of the point of sale terminal.

Possible values for Visa:

• <Blank>: Not specified
• 0: Unknown
• 1: No terminal
• 2: Magnetic stripe reader
• 3: Bar code reader
• 4: Optical character recognition (OCR) reader
• 5: Integrated circuit card reader
• 9: Key entry only; no electronic reading capability

Possible values for MasterCard:

• 0: Unknown; data not available
• 1: Manual; no terminal
• 2: Magnetic stripe reader capability
• 4: Optical character reader (OCR) capability
• 5: Integrated circuit card (ICC) capability
• 6: Key entry only capability
• A: PAN auto-entry via contact less magnetic stripe
• B: Magnetic stripe reader and key entry capability
• C: Magnetic stripe reader, ICC, and key entry capability
• D: Magnetic stripe reader and ICC capability
• E: CC and key entry capability
• M: PAN auto-entry via contact less M/Chip
• V: Other capability

Terminal Num (Terminal Number)

• For Visa transactions, the terminal identifier assigned by Visa.
• For MasterCard transactions, the transaction life cycle identifier reference number assigned by MasterCard.
• For American Express transactions, the record of charge number assigned by American Express.

Time Stamp

The time the transaction was logged in the authorization log. Time stamps are recorded in Pacific time.

Tip Amount

That portion of the total transaction amount that is the tip.

Token Assurance Level

A two-character code returned by Visa in a token authorization response message. This value indicates the confidence level of the payment token binding to the Primary Account Number (PAN).

Total Auth Amount

• Total monetary amount authorized for the transaction.
• For MasterCard, total amount reserved on a credit card to cover the anticipated charges associated with the rental of a vehicle or lodging stay.

Trans Date/Time

Transmission date and time, in the MMDDHHMMSS (month, day, hour, minute, second) format, indicates when a message was entered into the data interchange system.

Trans Seq Number

• A four-digit value generated by the POS device during the original authorization request for tracking purposes.
• For MasterCard, the Transmission Sequence Number is a five-digit number that the transmission originator assigns. It should be unique for each combination of Transmission Type, Transmission Reference Date, and Processor ID.

Transaction Amount

Total amount, in the acquirer’s currency, of the transaction.

Transaction Code

• Transaction code for the transaction received by TSYS.
• For Visa, a two-digit code that identifies a specific type of BASE II transaction.

Transaction Date

Date on which the transaction occurred, in the MM/DD/YYYY format.

Transaction Fee

The fee charged for the transaction.

Transaction ID (Tran ID, Trans ID Visa)

The transaction ID number assigned by Visa Base II to each transaction.

Transaction Integrity Class

This indicates the Mastercard Transaction Integrity Class (TIC) code for the transaction.
