Validation Code (Validation Cd)

• For Visa, this is a code assigned by the VisaNet Integrated Payment (VIP) system for all authorizations qualifying as CPS transactions. It is used to validate that the data stored in selected authorization fields is an exact match to the authorization date approved by the issuer.
• For MasterCard, the Interchange Life Cycle Validation Code is a system-provided value that is created during the processing of the First Presentment message. The value must be retained and returned in each subsequent life cycle transaction.
