Create a Pricing Template

To create a pricing template:

1. From the Actions menu, under Pricing, select Create Pricing Template.

   The New Pricing Template page opens.

2. In the Pricing Template Information section, enter the template information in these fields:
   • Template ID: This is a maximum 30 character alpha-numeric field.
   • Template Type: From the drop-down list, select the template type. Template types do not have any effect on how the template is treated or used in the system; they are identifiers which can be used to organize and label your Pricing Templates.
   • Hierarchy Level: From the drop-down list, select the hierarchy level for the pricing template. The available options are:
     • Client
     • Agent: When selected, the Agent ID / Bank ID field appears, where you can select the agent for the hierarchy level.
       1. At the Agent ID / Bank ID field, select the adjacent lookup icon .

          The Agent ID / Bank ID box opens.

       2. In the Agent Name, Agent ID, and Range To fields, enter any search criteria for the agent you want to add, and then select Search.

          The agents meeting your criteria are listed in the Search Results section.

       3. In the Search Results section, select the check box for the agent you want to add, and then select Move Checked.

          The agent you selected appears in the Selected Agents section.

       4. In the Selected Agents section, select the check box for the Agent Name you want to add to the hierarchy level, and then select Apply Selected.

          The Agent Lookup box closes and your selection appears in the Agent ID / Bank ID field.

     • Bank: When selected, the Bank ID field appears, where you can select the bank for the hierarchy level.
       1. At the Bank ID field, select the adjacent lookup icon .

          The Bank Selection box opens.

       2. Select the check box for the Bank Name you want to add to the hierarchy level, and then select Apply Selected.

          The Bank Selection box closes and your selection appears in the Bank ID field.

     • Group: When selected, the Bank ID and Group ID fields appear, where you can select the bank and group for the hierarchy level.
       1. From the Bank ID drop-down list, select the bank ID you want to add to the hierarchy level.
       2. At the Group ID field, select the adjacent lookup icon .

          The Group Lookup box opens.

       3. In the Group Name, Group ID, and Range To fields, enter any search criteria for the group you want to add, and then select Search.

          The groups meeting your criteria are listed in the Search Results section.

       4. In the Search Results section, select the check box for the group you want to add, and then select Move Checked.

          The group you selected appears in the Selected Groups section.

       5. In the Selected Groups section, select the check box for the Group Name you want to add to the hierarchy level, and then select Apply Selected.

          The Group Lookup box closes and your selection appears in the Group ID field.

     • Association: When selected, the Bank ID and Association ID fields appear, where you can select the bank and association for the hierarchy level.
       1. From the Bank ID drop-down list, select the bank ID you want to add to the hierarchy level.
       2. At the Association ID field, select the adjacent lookup icon .

          The Association Lookup box opens.

       3. In the Association Name, Association ID, and Range To fields, enter any search criteria for the association you want to add, and then select Search.

          The associations meeting your criteria are listed in the Search Results section.

       4. In the Search Results section, select the check box for the association you want to add, and then select Move Checked.

          The association you selected appears in the Selected Associations section.

       5. In the Selected Associations section, select the check box for the Association Name you want to add to the hierarchy level, and then select Apply Selected.

          The Association Lookup box closes and your selection appears in the Association ID field.

   • Correlated Template ID: This is an optional field, where a single additional pricing template at the same hierarchy level can be identified. In XML, template requests will append all fee items from additional pricing template to the action being taken. This will only be triggered if appropriate client preferences are established, otherwise the field will remain for informational purposes.
3. In the Merchant Minimum Discount Information section, enter the merchant minimum discount information in these fields:
   • Minimum Discount($): The minimum discount dollar amount that can be applied.
   • Frequency: Select one of these options buttons as required:
     • All: Select this to apply the minimum discount during all months.
     • Select Months: When selected, a check box for each month (Jan, Feb, etc.) appears. Select the check box for each month you want to apply the minimum discount to.
   • Min Discount Lock: Select the Yes option button if you want to lock the minimum discount, so that it cannot be overridden. Otherwise, select No.
   • Min Discount Range Lock: Select the Yes option button if you want to lock the minimum discount range, so that it cannot be overridden. Otherwise, select No.
   • Min Discount Range Min: To set a minimum discount range, enter the minimum range value.
   • Min Discount Range Max: To set a minimum discount range, enter the maximum range value.
   • GL Item Code: The General Ledger code defined by the Bank within Portfolio Pricing Manager.
   • User Data Code: The User Data Code can be used to label groups of fee items for certain merchants with a client-defined value for reporting, searching and possible re-pricing at a later time. For example, a client may want to group pricing for hotels, or gas stations, or retail into different auth rates. The client may then access profitability totals by his User Data Code Values.
   • Bill Method: Select the Debit or Remit option button to indicate the billing method to be used.
4. Select Create Pricing Template.
5. As required, add a Fee Item to the pricing template, or copy an existing template.
