The front-end only merchant boarding process consists of the following steps in this sequence. Some steps are optional, depending on the manner in which you configure the merchant.

Create a merchant

1. Configure merchant parameters
2. Configure PCI compliance (optional)
3. Configure merchant products
4. Configure gift card participation (optional)
5. Create and maintain an AMEX SE number request (optional)
6. Create and maintain a Discover account number request (optional)
7. Enter leasing information (optional)
8. Pend a merchant
9. Board a merchant
