The Boarding page allows you to add entities to Express. In order to board an entity, it must be in "Ready to Board" status. If an entity is not in "Ready to Board" status, you have the option of selecting the entity and validating the entity's record in an attempt to achieve "Ready to Board" status. The exception to this is entities that are in "Error" status. Errors must be addressed by navigating to the Error page, and subsequently navigating to the pages containing errors and entering valid data.
In addition to entities that are "Ready to Board", you may encounter entities in another status ("In Progress" or "Error", for example). For a list of all the statuses that can appear on the Boarding page and an explanation of what they mean, see About validation and boarding.
Note: Your ability to board an entity is determined by your security entitlements. If you are unable to perform the functions as described in this topic, contact your System Administrator to have your user permissions changed.
You can access the Boarding page by performing the following actions:
Page: Boarding
As Express processes the entity's validation, the status of the entity's record changes to "System Processing" until the validation process is complete. A change in the entity's status indicates that a new status has been assigned.
As Express processes the entities' validation, the status of each entity's record changes to "System Processing" until the validation process is complete. A change in the entity's status indicates that a new status has been assigned.
If boarding is successful, the Boarding page refreshes with the status of the entity showing as "Boarded". If boarding is unsuccessful, the Errors page displays.
You can board multiple entities at the same time. In most cases, these entities must be of the same entity type. In the case of a single merchant and the merchant's terminals, you can board different entity types at the same time. All entities must be in a "Ready to Board" status in order to board them successfully.
If boarding is successful, the Boarding page refreshes with the status of each entity showing as "Boarded". If boarding is unsuccessful, a status of "Errors" will appear for those entities requiring additional editing.
