Agents, chains, merchants, and stores are components of the front-end hierarchy. They are used to provide additional structure and detail for front-end reporting. As members of the front-end hierarchy, they inherit characteristics of their parent (BIN), and they in turn pass some of their characteristics on to terminals that are below them in the hierarchy.
