Combine store descriptors

Express allows you to combine store descriptor records that share a front-end hierarchy, but have different store descriptor information (such as Address, or DBA Name). Combining store descriptors standardizes this information and updates all child terminal records automatically.

To combine store descriptors:

  1. If a merchant's terminal is not already in context, search for a terminal.
  2. From any of the merchant's Terminal-related screens, from the Quick Links menu, click Store Descriptor Information.

    The Store Descriptor Information page opens.

  3. Click the Edit button.
  4. Select the To check box to select one record. This record will serve as the master record into which all other selected records will be combined.
  5. Select the From check box to select each record that you want to combine with the selected To record.
  6. Click the Combine button.

    A table appears that displays all of the terminals that will be affected by this action.

  7. Click the Board button.
