Bank Name and Address

You can maintain a bank's name, address, and telephone information using the Bank Name and Address page. One address is allowed per bank.

To view and edit a bank's name and address details:

1. Open the Bank Summary page for the bank.

   The Bank Summary page provides basic status, demographic, and contact information for a selected bank. From this page, you can browse to the other bank maintenance pages with the selected bank in context. This allows you to view detail information and make changes to the bank record.

   To view the Bank Summary page for a bank:

   • If you know the bank's Bank Number, perform a basic search.

     You can search broadly or specifically for an Express entity from the Express Homepage. The results of this search will direct you to the summary page for the entity that you select.

     The entity summary search requires that you enter search criteria precisely and returns exact matches only. The merchant accounting search and the front-end search provide greater flexibility by allowing you to enter a sub-string of the value for which you are looking, and returning all matches that contain that sub-string.

     Note: Front-end only clients cannot search for Bank, Association, or Group entities from the Homepage.

     To perform a basic search for an entity:

     1. On the global navigation bar, click the Main button.

        The Express Homepage opens.

        

     2. In the Search Criteria panel, enter values in the fields on which you want to search.
        • To make your searches broader, enter fewer search criteria.
        • To make your searches more specific, enter values for as many levels of the related hierarchy that are applicable to the search you are performing.
     3. Click Search.

        A unique match displays in the Entity Summary page. Multiple matches display in the Search Results page.

     4. Click the value in the first column of the search result to select the search result that matches your search target.

     Perform an advanced search for the bank.

     To search for a bank:

     1. Open the Advanced Search - Merchant Search page.

        Express enables you to locate submitted back-end entities and banking elements using hierarchy and demographic information. To search for a merchant accounting entity, browse to the Advanced Search - Merchant Accounting Search page, then enter search criteria based on the entity you are trying to find.

        Search results are validated against the permissions associated with your User ID. If your search does not return the expected result, ensure that your search criteria are valid, then verify with your System Administrator that you have the appropriate level of access.

        Note: Front-end only clients cannot search for merchant accounting entities.

        To open the Advanced Search - Merchant Search page:

        1. From the Express Homepage, in the Other Searches panel, click the Advanced Search link.

           Tip: Click Main to open the Express Homepage.

           

           -or-

           From the Admin menu, click Advanced Search.

           

           The Advanced Search - Merchant Search page opens.

           

     2. From the Accounting Entity drop-down list, select Bank.

        

     3. Click Select.

        The Advanced Search - Merchant Accounting Search page opens.

     4. In the Bank Number field, enter a valid bank number.

        Note: If you have user privileges to more than one bank, entering a Bank Number will narrow your search.

     5. Click Search.

        If you entered a Bank Number, the Bank Summary page opens displaying the details of the bank whose number you entered.

        A search results table displays listing the banks meeting your criteria. To view the Bank Summary page for a specific bank, click the entry in the Bank Number column for the bank you want to view.

        

2. In the Bank Quick Links panel, click Bank Name and Address.

   

   The Bank Name and Address page for the bank opens.

   

3. Click the Edit button.
4. Edit the information in the following fields as required (fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory):
   • Physical Location Address Indicator: The entry in this field identifies the physical location address of the merchant sent Visa at processing using a 2 digit numerical identifier from 00-99 or one of the following 3 character usage codes:
     • RCL
     • CRB
     • MLR
     • CCD
     • BT1
     • BT2
     • BT3

       Note: 00 (Legal Address) is the address indicator sent to MasterCard as the physical location address.

   • Address 1/2/3/4: The bank address details. This address may be used as the merchant statement returned address.
   • Phone: The bank phone number. This number does not show on the merchant statement.
5. Click Validate.
