Create a group or association

Groups and associations add levels of reporting and structure to the back-end hierarchy by grouping similar merchants together. Bank-end merchants inherit characteristics of the group and association to which they belong, while the groups and associations inherit characteristics from the bank to which they belong.

Navigation

1. From the Express Homepage, enter a valid bank number in the Bank Number field.
2. Select Group or Association from the New Entity Type drop-down list.
3. Click Add.

Alternatively, you can click Add from the Group Summary page or the Association Summary page.

Create a new group

1. Enter a unique, six-digit identification number for the group that you want to create in New Group Number field.
2. Select Add new blank Group.
3. Click Validate.

Copy an existing group

1. Enter a unique, six-digit identification number for the group that you want to create in New Group Number field.
2. Select Copy from Group Number.
3. Enter the group number for the group that you want to copy in the Copy from Group Number text field.
4. Click Validate.

Create a new association

1. Enter a unique, six-digit identification number for the association that you want to create in New Association Number field.
2. Select Add new blank Association.
3. Click Validate.

Copy an existing association

1. Enter a unique, six-digit identification number for the association that you want to create in New Association Number field.
2. Select Copy from Association Number.
3. Enter the group number for the group that you want to copy in the Copy from Association Number text field.
4. Click Validate.
