RB 413/A13/B13/G13/H13 - Authorization Number is a Six Alphanumeric Field

This field is generated upon authorization of online transactions. This field is also manually entered in the terminal for offline transactions. This field is presented as left-justified and should not begin with a zero or space. Sierra validates the data element type and length of this field.

Possible Cause

Solution

Authorization Number must be alphanumeric.
  1. Delete/void the transaction that invoked an RB.
  2. Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

Note: If the delete/void feature is not available, delete the batch, offline corrected transactions, and re-transmit.
