When a transaction is presented to Sierra and the SSL flag in MMS is not in sync with how the transaction was submitted, Sierra rejects the authorization with the response of Failure HV - Hierarchy Verification Failure. Note: Only certain BINs utilize the SSL flag. The Failure-HV error is only caused by an incorrect SSL flag setting if the BIN is set up to use this option. |
