RB 403/H03/A03/B03/G03 - Invalid transaction code or TC for card type

This rejected batch typically occurs with a Zon Jr XL, using older applications with a Cash Advance key (does not include VXPCD01 or VT1CD01). Instead of pressing the Cash Advance (2) key, the teller accidentally swipes the card or presses the Purchase (1) or Credit (4) key, causing invalid transactions to be accumulated in the batch.

Solution

Incorrect transaction code

In most cases, the software is CVV OR NON PS2K and the batch must be deleted. You must correctly offline the transactions back in and re-transmit the batch.

If this a non-cash advance transaction, void the transaction that caused the RB. Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

Transaction Code is a one-character, alphanumeric field identifying the type of transaction on the terminal. The system validates the transaction code and matches the entities to those in the following table:
